The name of the LORD is a strong tower; the righteous man runs into it and is safe. Proverbs 18:10 (ESV)
When I was young, I would always see monsters in my closet, today I know it was nothing but the clothes, but at the time, it was monsters and no one could convince me otherwise. So I would go into my parent’s room and snuggle up because that was a safe place and I would go straight back to sleep with no worries; because my parents would protect me. The Bible says when I was a child I did things as a child but when I became an adult I put away childish things. I am grateful that I can call upon the name of the Lord when the storm clouds of life start to rage. Calling on the name of God has kept me in my right mind, calling on the name of Jesus granted me peace that surpassed all understanding.
We are all going to experience difficult and challenging situations in life and let’s face it, life’s challenges can be very unpleasant. There will be times when no one can help you and sometimes family and friends do not even understand what you might be going through or might not even care, but having a firm foundation in Christ can assure you that when you call on the name of the Lord, he will come to your rescue anytime, anyplace, anywhere. I am grateful for the strong tower and a place to feel safe. I encourage you to develop your relationship with the Lord, so that you will become one of the righteous so that you can go to that safe place that the Lord provides. God Bless.
