And to aspire to live quietly, and to mind your affairs, and to work with your hands, as we instructed you. 1 Thessalonians 4:11 ESV

Periodically I remind the members of St. Philips you have six months to mind your business six months to stay out of someone else business and twelve months to seek Jesus while he may be found.  As Christians, the word in the old testament and the new testament gives details about how we should conduct ourselves as men and women of God.  The word also reminds us to stay busy, to work not just for Kingdom business, but work so that we may have food on our table and clothes on our back and a roof over our head.  There are 24 hours in a day and as the bible says we should work, occupy our time, while it is still day.  When we spend, our life minding our affairs and the work of God, we have no time to get into other people’s business and as well as idleness.  For we know, idle time is the devil’s workshop.

Most Psychologist would tell you that individuals who meddle in other people’s life are miserable and not satisfied with their life.  To have life is a blessing from God, we should honor God by living our best lives.  We should work our way up Maslow’s hierarchy of needs and strive to get to self-fulfillment.  Go to school, get a hobby, travel the world, volunteer our time, read a good book, join a church ministry, the harvest is plentiful, and the laborers are few.  When you treasure the life that God has given you, and know that each breath is a blessing from God, we will not meddle in other folk business.  Lord God allow those of us who call ourselves children of God learn how to live our best lives so that our life will honor you.  God Bless.
